Is Elva Breen a state registered Occupational Therapist?2021-08-18T17:15:07+00:00

Yes, Elva Breen is registered with CORU. CORU is Ireland’s multi-profession health regulator.

The role of CORU is to protect the public by promoting high standards of professional conduct, education, training and competence through statutory registration of health and social care professionals. Elva Breen’s registration number is 0T014743. Elva Breen has Professional Indemnity & Public Liability Insurance through the Association of Occupational Therapists of Ireland.

Why have I been asked to attend for a vocational assessment?2021-08-18T17:14:35+00:00

A vocational assessment is required to determine the loss of earnings element of a personal injuries court case. Your solicitor has asked you to attend if he/she is making a claim for loss of earnings or a loss of opportunity on your behalf.

How long will the assessment take?2021-08-18T17:14:00+00:00

The assessment generally last for one to two hours. It is helpful if you come prepared by bringing an up to date CV. If you don’t have a CV please write down your work history. It is also important to bring proof of earnings, from before the date of injury, for example a payslip or P60.

No, Elva Breen does not carry out paediatric OT assessments. Please refer to www.aoti.ie for occupational therapists who specialise in the area of paediatrics.

How can I refer to Elva Breen?2021-08-18T17:03:15+00:00

Elva Breen only accepts referrals from solicitors, insurance companies and The Personal Injuries Assessment Board. Once Elva Breen has all the relevant and up-to-date medical reports, her secretary will send out a formal appointment letter. Please email info@otconsultant.ie or leave a phone message on 083 874 1527 to organise an assessment.

Elva Breen provides professional, independent, objective and comprehensive Occupational Therapy and Vocational Rehabilitation Medico-Legal reports for High Court personal injury cases. Vocational assessments are currently conducted via zoom.
